Daniel Varghese is a journalist with nearly a decade experience. He has written and edited stories about menswear, endurance sports, design, and tech for The Wall Street Journal, GQ, New York Magazine, Conde Nast Traveler, Gear Junkie, Hard Pack, and Cake Zine.

Varghese's journalism career began in earnest at Wirecutter—now owned by The New York Times—where he developed a knack for efficiently evaluating products across a wide range of categories. Over the years and while holding several proceeding staff jobs, he's tested countless headphones, speakers, cameras, and other accessories.

In 2023, after years being too afraid to try, he decided to ride a bike in New York City. He quickly realized everything he had been missing out own, and decided to reorient his professional career to maximize the amount of time he could justify spending on two wheels. In the fall of 2024, he founded Leg Day, a newsletter about pursuing joy as a city cyclist.

Varghese holds a Bachelors of Science in Foreign Service in Science, Technology, and International Affairs from Georgetown University.
