The resulting Janji x Dion collab is a lightweight, Vermont-made, unisex snowshoe designed to work with trail running shoes for improved range of motion and comfort. And, like Janji's apparel, it comes in bright, matching style.
In keeping with the ethos of each brand, the Dion x Janji Snowshoe ($275) isn’t limited to low-speed tromps out in the yard or woods. It's a restyling of Dion’s handcrafted model designed for running and racing over snow and ice—yes, racing snowshoes are a thing.
Lightweight, aircraft-grade aluminum keeps weight down while stainless steel ice cleats grip the tundra beneath your feet, even when moving at a clip. Dion's founder, Bob Dion, has five National Championship medals to prove his design is sound, too.
But don't let the lightweight, speed-oriented design get you thinking that this collab is only for cold-weather cardio nuts. The running snowshoe is also ideal for winter hiking. There’s little else to do than adjust the straps to your boot—or running shoe (a Gore-Tex-lined trail runner would do nicely)—and you’re ready to head out into the snow globe.
